Information Alert #4 - New LaCAN Leader in Region 2!

Fran Peterson • August 3, 2026

Please join the Council and LaCAN in welcoming Katherine (Katie) Kroes as the new LaCAN Leader for Region 2 (serving Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Point Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana Parishes).

Katie is a grateful and joyful mother of two who resides in Baton Rouge. She has been a passionate advocate for inclusion and reform ever since her son Henry, now 12, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy in his first year. Katie understands and believes full inclusion of the entire disability community will help make the world a better place.

We encourage you to reach out to Katie to get to know more about her and share a little about yourself. She can also help you become more involved with LaCAN. Katie’s contact information, as well as the information for all the LaCAN Leaders, can be found here.
