Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: July 22, 2026
Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge (FHFGBR) is dedicated to ensuring digital accessibility for all people, including those with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee our digital resources are inclusive and empowering for the community we serve.
1. Our Commitment We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information, resources, and support. As an organization dedicated to enhancing the independence and integration of persons with disabilities, we strive to conform our website, https://www.fhfgbr.org, to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
2. UserWay Accessibility Widget To proactively address accessibility barriers, we have installed the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget. This software provides an on-screen accessibility menu that allows users to customize their digital experience based on their specific needs. Features of the UserWay widget include, but are not limited to:
- Screen reader adjustments
- Text resizing and line height spacing
- Contrast modification (dark mode, light mode, high contrast)
- Dyslexia-friendly fonts
- Pausing animations and highlighting links
The accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility options to load in their entirety.
3. Ongoing Efforts Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly audit our website and digital content to identify and fix potential accessibility issues. Despite our best efforts to make all pages and content on fhfgbr.org fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
4. Feedback and Support We welcome your feedback. If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, require assistance navigating our resources, or wish to report an accessibility issue, please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information, item, or transaction you seek through an alternate communication method that is accessible for you.
