By using this website, joining our email list, or opting in to our text messaging program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or communications.

Content on fhfgbr.org is provided for informational, educational, and resource-sharing purposes. While we strive to keep information about disability services, advocacy, and community resources accurate and current, it is not professional medical, legal, or financial advice. 5. SMS / Text Messaging Program Terms

Program name: FHFGBR Text Alerts

Program description. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge at the mobile number you provide. You will receive both:

• Transactional messages, such as appointment reminders, event and training registration confirmations, donation receipts, and updates on your service requests or orders
• Promotional messages, such as announcements of upcoming events, workshops, and fundraising campaigns, as well as sales, discounts, and special offers

How to opt in. You may opt in by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our website, completing a written sign-up form, or texting a keyword to our number. Consent is not a condition of receiving services, attending events, or making a donation.

Required disclosures.

• Message and data rates may apply.
• Message frequency varies.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-out. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You may also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE.

Eligibility and your number. You confirm you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide and that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you change or deactivate your number, please reply STOP from that number or notify us.

Privacy. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Email Communications Terms

By joining our email list, registering for an event, or making a donation, you agree to receive emails from FHFGBR. These may include transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, reminders) and newsletters, advocacy alerts, event announcements, and fundraising appeals.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time; we process requests within 10 business days. You may still receive transactional emails related to a registration, donation, or request you initiated. To make sure our emails reach you, please add info@fhfgbr.org to your contacts.

7. Donations and Event Registrations

FHFGBR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations are processed by a third-party payment processor and are generally non-refundable; if you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within 30 days. Event and training details, including dates and locations, may change, and we will notify registrants of any changes.

Our website may link to websites and services we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices.

9. Limitation of Liability

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.
