Ms. Kay Lewis this year's recipient of the 2006-2007 Kimberly McGee Parent Leadership Award
The Kimberly McGee Parent Leadership Award is given each year in recognition of the valuable contributions made by one person to those with special health care needs and their  families. Kay Lewis has done just that!  Those who know her realize the  invaluable
contributions Kay makes everyday, not only to the lives of those she serves, but also her co-workers, her family and friends.  She works as a Parent Liaison with Children's Special Health Services (CSHS) and serves asthe Region 2 LaCAN Co-Leader.

Kay is the mother of one daughter, Brittany, and has been an advocate for persons with disabilities for the last 20 years. Kay says she could not imagine doing anything else with her life!  Her second love is her horse, Li'l Miss.  Kay hopes one day to turn her passion for horses into teaching persons with disabilities to ride as a means of therapeutic recreation.
