A Family Directed ResourceCenter for Individuals
with
Special Needs and Their Families.
Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge (FHF of GBR) is a nonprofit,
family directed, family resource center. We are a group of families
who, through our own experiences, promote advocacy and are committed to
reaching out to other families
who have members with special needs.
The term “special needs” includes physical,
mental,
emotional, behavioral and/or academic issues.
FHF of GBR’s resource center is affiliated
with the Statewide Family Resource Network,
which has family
directed centers in every region of Louisiana. These centers are
unique because they are directed and staffed by parents or family
members of
individuals with special needs.
FHF of GBR offers a place where families can go for
help that is totally
guided and staffed by families of persons with
disabilities.
