ACTIVE FOR AUTISM – WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT
Active for Autism 5K Run/Walk & Fun Fest promotes awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of those affected by autism. This event provides community education while generating partnerships with families and organizations across the Greater Baton Rouge eight-parish area.
Our Active for Autism 5K Run/Walk & Fun Fest is on Saturday, April 27, 2019 on the grounds of Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge.
Proceeds from this event support Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge’s program–Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (RCASD). RCASD provides individualized services, information, and support needed to positively enhance the independence, productivity, and inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We need awesome volunteers like you for a successful event! Volunteers are needed for our planning committee to secure auction donations, organize in-kind donations, solicit silent auction donations, organize food and beverage sales, etc. Volunteers will be assigned to areas where they are needed the most.
